Using Printable Online Coupons

Each Sunday, I sit down and read the Sunday paper and like most people I usually discard the coupon inserts. Just recently I began to think how silly it was for me to have a site recommending different ways to organize your personal finances, while I was throwing money away each week. I grocery shop two or three times a month. How much have I lost over the years by not using coupons?

As I was about to leave work last night and head home, I realized I need to stop and pick up toilet paper and contact solution. Too bad I didn’t check the Sunday paper for coupons. Since my computer was still on, I decided to do a quick search. Where can I print coupons online and print them out? It didn’t take long before several sites came up with printable online grocery coupons. I looked through a couple of the sites and decided to narrow my search down to the exact coupons that I was looking for. I came across a $1 off coupon for toilet paper at Target and a $1 off, use anywhere, coupon for contact solution.

From my initial thought of where can I find grocery coupons online, to printing and having the coupons in my hand took all of about 5 minutes. For 5 minutes of my time, I had saved $2. Had my list been larger, I could have saved much more judging from some of the coupons. But in order to save money I am trying not to impulse buy and just purchase items that are on my list. Next time you are going shopping, do a quick search. I think you might be surprised with the money you can save with very little effort.
