Don’t be fooled by list of high paying careers?

Is there a subject or topic in life you just can’t seem to learn enough about? Is there something that you would research, study or do even if you weren’t getting paid? Well my advice to you is to focus on that which excites you and get paid for it! You don’t need anyones help choosing a career. Rely on yourself and what makes you happy when choosing a good career.

Too many people let money create what they do for a living. Why not let what you do for a living and your passion create your money? Let me explain. If you ask junior high and high school kids what they want to be when they grow up, their answers often will include jobs from a list of high paying careers such as doctor and lawyer. Is it because they want to help people or find law extremely interesting. Some do, but the majority sees those as high paying jobs. Since those are high paying jobs and most would like to be rich, their educational paths are steered in the direction of those high paying jobs.

Believe me when I tell you picking a high paying profession is much less important than picking a profession you enjoy. Make your passion, your work! Are you an exercise enthusiast in your spare time? What if I told you, you can get paid to work out? Well you can! Why not become a personal trainer? How about becoming an author or speaker? You can share your tips that have brought you fitness success. While working out, is there something you think would help your exercise program? Dream up that perfect product and run with the idea! The possibilities are endless.

My point is, pick something you enjoy in life. If you are miserable doing what you do, no amount of money will bring you happiness. When you enjoy what you do, you want to learn more and become better at it. When you become better at it, you create more money for yourself. Don’t wake up in the morning dreading the day ahead because you can’t stand what you do. Pick something you like and make each morning a new opportunity to create the happiness and wealth you dreamed of back in school.

  1. I agree 100%. I went into a field that I didn’t enjoy and have been regretting it ever since.
