Top Ramen Recipes
If a food was ever picked to represent the college student, it would have to be Top Ramen! I personally lived off Top Ramen Noodles for close to a year while I was in school. I have many friends who did the same. Not everyone likes the taste of Ramen noodles but the price and quickness of preparing a top ramen meal quickly overcomes this. Don’t get me wrong, I actually like the taste of ramen noodles and still eat them to this day….just not as often.
I was never a creative ramen chef. I simply boiled water, cooked the noodles, drained them and used the supplied seasoning. My roommates were sometimes shocked to see me eat ramen without cooking it at all. I would just break it up and dip it into some Sriracha sauce. This is the sauce you often see at sushi restaurants with the rooster on the bottle and the green top. I don’t think my raw recipe is likely to catch on anytime soon, but there has to be some recipes out there that would.
How do you make your Ramen noodles? Are you the Top Chef of your dorm or apartment? Can you whip up a dish from Top Ramen noodles that would make Rachel Ray change the name of her show from “30 minute meals” to “5 to 10 minute meals”? If so let’s hear them.
I’m going to be trying all the recipes posted here, so be sure to check back for my review if you post a recipe.
