Don’t Let the Role of Media In Politics Affect You
With 6 days till the election I wanted to write a quick post encouraging all my readers to get out and vote! I would never try to force my political views on you and tell you what or who I think you should vote for. There are plenty of other sites and television stations already taking care of that. Don’t let the role of media in politics affect you. I encourage you to read up and study the issues and candidates involved. Don’t just go off what the talking heads on TV are telling you or what your family tells you day in and day out. Learn the facts and make your own decisions. There is nothing worse than trying to have an intelligent political discussion with someone who just repeats what they have heard someone else say without having an understanding of the topic they are discussing.
I know some of my readers are not yet old enough to vote. I still encourage you to learn what the issues are and what each candidate stands for. I did not pay much attention to politics while I was in high school. I was in the group that thought “this doesn’t effect me”. This site is about me relaying to you decisions I have made or things I have done that I think were a mistake. Not digging into political issues and actually understanding the whole process is one of them. You are never to young to start reading about and trying to understand the issues that face you, your community, your state and your country.
